about us
OUR CORE VALUES
Christ First
In all things He will have preeminence
Truthful
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. We believe it is absolutely true. That is, it is true all the time, for everyone in every generation. Our teaching will be Biblically literate, culturally relevant, and sensitive to the Holy Spirit
Helpful
We believe that God's people should leave a church experience feeling confident that the principles they heard or the encouragement they received will make them more effective to reach their world for Christ
Enjoyable
We believe that there is no good reason for church to be boring. To suggest that you can only enjoy a church if it is liturgical in scope, or if it "waters down the Word of God" is, at best, short sighted. We believe the Holy Spirit has gifted people in the body of Christ to present truth and lead worship in highly effective and engaging ways. Therefore we will strive to create an atmosphere where people look forward to coming
Excellent
We believe that God deserves our best, and only this sacrifice of praise will be accepted. Therefore, we are committed to excellence in spirit, lifestyle, and ministry practices
Flexible
We believe that no matter how strategic, planned, or prepared we might be there will no doubt be unforeseen events that shape our surroundings. Therefore we will strive to adapt ourselves to these circumstances, and adopt a Philippians 2:14 attitude which states, “Do all things without complaining or arguing…”
Nurturing
We believe there is a biblical order for church leadership, and there are biblical qualifications for church leaders. God has placed elders (also bishops/overseers) and pastors over us for our spiritual well-being. Although trust is earned, and our leadership will strive to earn this, we will trust the leadership in which God has placed over us, and partner with them for our spiritual nurturing and discipleship
Authentic
We believe that the transparency of our actions is pleasing to God and serves as a magnet to those who are hurting and are in search of help. We will strive to be real in our worship, in our community, and in our relationship to God and others
Diverse
We believe that the local church is most healthy when multi-generations, multi-ethnicities, and multi-socioeconomic groups are
worshipping God together in spirit and truth
