OUR VISION

Christ First Baptist Church of Covina has over 113 years of service to God and to our community.

As we look forward to 2010 and beyond we give all glory to God that as great as our memories are,

we now have bigger dreams. Our vision is represented by the number 11111.

The first 1 stands for 10000

We envision by 2020 there will be over 10,000 unchurched people in the San Gabriel Valley as a part of our oikos community. Our goal is to pray for them daily by name, invest our life into them in order to build trust, and invite them often to church. Let God do the rest.

The second 1 stands for the number 1,000

We envision by 2020 that 1,000 mature believers, new Christians, and unbelievers will be attending weekly worship services in multiple communities in Covina and perhaps throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Since not everyone comes every week this could mean up to 1,500 people calling Christ First home.

The third 1 stands for 100

We envision by 2020 there will be at least 100 Life Groups patterned after a New Testament Home Church meeting together for Worship, Teaching, Fellowship, Accountability, and Prayer. These groups also create easy entry points to invite your unchurched friends. It is our goal that anyone who calls Christ First home would be involved in a Life Group.

The fourth 1 stands for 10

We envision by 2020 at least 10 Community Programs functioning to assist us in our “Embracing Covina” campaign. Such programs could be:
